Category Ad Spend by Owner Spend/Shares:
Details each product category’s ad spend across all major owners, including all Digital media such as Google, Facebook and the Agency Trading Desks. Digital media owner data will also be shown by Digital sector so the Category’s spend on various services, such as ad serving or search, is also provided. The example below shows the changing Q1 Digital media shares of the Insurance Brand/Sponsorship category, but the same view is also available across all media ie including ad spend for TV and radio networks, outdoor businesses and companies in news media.
Category Forward Ad Demand:
SMI creates the forward ad demand data by collecting the confirmed ad spend already in the media agencies’ payment system. The value of this combined total is compared to the same data at the same point in time the previous year to show the overall level of increase/decrease in demand for each individual category and how that differs by major media.
